Fall Centerpieces

In a few weeks, I'll be decorating the tables for an event at my church. The event is fairly casual, and I'm trying to spend as little as possible. I have lots of mason jars to use, and I want the centerpiece to be earthy and natural, with hints of autumn. These are some of the ideas I've found so far, and I'm really leaning towards the wheat. Thoughts, readers? Any other good ideas?

I really like the wheat in the jar. It is simple yet lovely. The top arrangement with the black really caught my eye too.

Thanks! I think I'm going to go with the wheat in the jar, and add some twine around the top. I'm still working on the details. I'll post pictures afterward!!

Thanks Sue- I'm definitely going with the wheat- I just need to add some color and I'll be good to go. I wish I had you to photograph my stuff- we'd make a great team! :)

Madeline, let me know if you need twine. I have a box of twine that you can have.

I also like the idea of the jars with the wheat. There is something very beautiful about the slice of wood as the bottom of the top center piece, though...
